How can faith provide strength and comfort during challenging times?

Have you ever had one of those days, weeks, or years where it feels like the closer to God you get the more attacks that can only come from the pits of hell you must endure?

You are not alone. You are never alone.

As we mature in our faith, we will experience difficult situations and circumstances. I am not going to lie to you it will be challenging, and you will fill like you are at your breaking point. I am not a believer in the “God will not give you more than you can handle” quote, because I do believe God gives us more than we can handle. If we can “handle” every difficult situation or challenging circumstance then we nullify the cross, we nullify the need of a savior, and we nullify the need for God. I believe that all of hell comes against us to destroy our relationship with God. The enemy wants us so focused on our problems, situations, and circumstances to take our focus off God and his goodness.

It does not make you a bad person or Christian, it makes you human and in need of a good God. It could be work, relationships, an addiction, or whatever situation you may be going through. Keep your focus on God and his goodness. Let this be a reminder that while all of hell may be against you, all of heaven is for you! It may feel like you are at your breaking point – you are not even close.  TIP: Use praise to draw closer to God in difficult times. Declaring the goodness of God during these times will bring peace to you.  MY praise will be the battle cry for the kingdom of God. Praise will strengthen my faith as God continues to restore all things. Worship will be the warfare to breaks chains, changes atmospheres, and push back darkness.

5 Bible Verses to encourage you during any difficult season:

1) “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

2) “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:17-18)

3) “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9)

4) “You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” (Psalm 32:7-8)

5) “The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.” (Psalm 9:9-10)
